Creativity is often a private sport, and conveniently so. But for an artist like Nevmore, having surrounded himself with a warmth of friends and like minds, twenty of whom are called the Trogdolytes, and whose rap name was voted for by a squad of teammates and rugby players. Such an artist is bound to never run out of inspiration.
In 2019 he recorded his first track. This spring 2022, his debut album is set for release. Among his many influences he name drops the late great, chipped-mask-wearing, deviled-tongue - MF DOOM. Not at all surprising, when you realize that from the age of seven he was fed a healthy diet of 90s hiphop. A wrestling super fan, he is not ashamed to admit he is. Sprinkle on a bit of girl problems, and you'd get the unique alchemy, rap alias, Nevmore.
To provide you with a look at his creative aesthetic, and the possessions he holds timeless at this stage in his music evolution. I asked him to pick three items of personal effect to be buried in a time capsule for the next hundred years. Here are the three artifacts he’s chosen for the century-long stint, and what each one represents.
